for that suspect who essentially pulled a houdini. this is the man officers are looking for, anthony sanchez seen in the picture. he is about 5'5", 275 pounds. yesterday afternoon san jose police went to the parkside glen apartments on hillsdale road to arrest him for outstanding warrants. officers say they had to double cuff him because sanchez couldn't get his arms close enough together. but there was something he could do. officers put sanchez in the back of an unmarked car. when one officer was distracted with paperwork, sanchez slipped his cuffs and was able to jump in the driver's seat and drove away. >> now it's just going back to square one to find the suspect. hopefully he will still have the handcuffs on when we find him. >> reporter: two hours later police found the minivan parked in a neighborhood about a mile away. all of the equipment was still in the front seat. there were no firearms inside. now, as for how sanchez got these keys in the first place, san jose police say it is common practice for them to leave the keys in the ignition if th

sanchez yesterday at an apartment complex on hillsdale road. the 32-year-old suspect was placed in the back of an unmarked minivan. an officer dropped papers on the ground. >> literally took a couple of seconds where the officer bent over to pick up the paperwork and the suspect literally slipped his cuffs, was able to jump into the driver's seat, put the car in gear and flee the scene. >> dwyer says it's common practice for officers to leave the key in the ignition if they are close. police found the van about two hours later but sanchez was not found. >>> 4:32. lawrence is very excited because his doppler is fired up today. >> working very well, i might add and looking good. we have some showers around the bay area right now just some light stuff right now but i think we are going to see some more rain on the way as we head throughout the day. take a look for yourself. yeah, how about that! we have some of those scattered showers showing up in the north bay right now. not the strongest storm we have ever seen but we are going to take what
